At the Sherpa Group, People Matter isn’t just a value on a wall, it’s a belief that drives how we work, how we collaborate, and how we show up for one another.
It’s what unites us as a team.
It’s what shapes how we support our partners.
And it’s why, this year, we’ve proudly nominated Mind as our Charity of the Year.
Throughout our lives, in work, in family, in friendship, most of us have been touched by mental health challenges, whether personally or through someone we care about. And far too often, people struggle in silence, unsure where to turn or who will listen.
That’s why we chose to support Mind – an organisation committed to ensuring that anyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect, and championing mental wellbeing as a fundamental part of life and work.
Mind operates across England and Wales, providing:
No matter where someone is in their mental health journey, Mind works to make sure they don’t have to face it alone.
Whether it’s a helpline, online support community, or local drop-in, the charity’s work helps people feel seen, heard, and supported, and that’s something we believe everyone deserves.
For us, supporting Mind isn’t abstract, we see the impact every day.
Across our team, many of us have experienced our own mental health challenges, or have supported friends, family members, or colleagues through difficult periods. These experiences stay with you, and they shape how you see the world around you.
When things get tough, a kind word, a listening ear, and access to the right support can make all the difference.
That’s the spirit of People Matter – recognising the individual behind every role, challenge and opportunity, and it’s why we want to help Mind continue their mission though fundraising efforts throughout the year, including our planned Thames Bridge Walk.
Every step we take, every pound we raise, goes towards supporting Mind’s vital work, from frontline services to campaigns that fight stigma and improve access to care.
While the tech and marketing industry is creative, fast-paced, and motivating, it can also be demanding.
Deadlines, client expectations, and constantly shifting priorities can take their toll. Supporting mental health is not just important, it’s essential for building resilient teams, healthy workplaces, and sustainable careers.
By backing Mind, we’re not only supporting people in need, we’re reinforcing our belief that workplaces should care about the people behind the performance, not just the results they deliver.
If you’d like to get involved, there are many ways to support Mind, whether through fundraising, donation, or simply raising awareness:
As Mind says, no one should have to face a mental health problem alone.
At Sherpa, we stand behind that mission, because People Matter. Not just as a value or a tagline, but as a commitment to how we work, how we grow, how we support one another, and how we contribute to the communities around us.
